Avoid shortfalls with one of three powerful options.

ALPHERA Top Up Cover is engineered to protect you from finance house settlement shortfalls to ensure that nothing interrupts the journey. If your vehicle is stolen or written off, we’ll settle the difference between your comprehensive insurance payout and the amount owing on your finance agreement. (Excess payable, arrears, refundable premiums or capital additions are excluded and are factored into the amount paid.)

There are three cover options:

Option 1

  • Basic Top Up.
  • Vehicle amounts greater than R50,000 and less than R1,5 million.
  • Maximum benefit – R300 000 shortfall.

Option 2

  • Top Up.
  • Vehicle amounts greater than R50,000 and less than R1,5 million
  • Maximum benefit – R300 000 shortfall. R6000 excess benefit towards underlying excess in the event of a valid shortfall claim. The maximum amount paid out, will be determined by your underlying Comprehensive insurance over on your vehicle.
  • Supplementary cover included in the event that you unintentionally violate the underlying comprehensive policy – You will need to submit an Ombudsman request against the underlying Insurer first.
  • Deposit protector (Optional cover only applicable if a deposit was paid). Deposit protection up to R100 000.

Option 3

  • Top Up over R1, 5m
  • Vehicle amount that exceed R1,500,000 to a maximum of R2,500,000 in value.
  • Maximum benefit of R600 000 shortfall.

ALPHERA Care and Cosmetic Exterior Cover Plan offers the following benefits up to a maximum of R7 000.00 (VAT incl.).

  • ALPHERA scratch repair. Covers scratches to the bodywork of the vehicle up to 15cm in length.
  • ALPHERA wheels and alloy rims repairs. Covers up to a maximum of R7 000.00 (VAT incl.) per 12 (twelve) month period of cover.
  • ALPHERA windscreen and glass repairs. Windscreen chips and repairs to headlamps and related glass components, to the value of R7 000.00 (VAT incl.).
  • ALPHERA tar removal. Unlimited restorations up to a maximum of R7 000.00 (VAT incl.).
  • ALPHERA dent repair. Dents to the bodywork of the vehicle up to 15cm in diameter.
  • ALPHERA hail damage repair. Covers up to a maximum of R7 000.00 (VAT incl.) per 12 (twelve) month period of cover.
  • ALPHERA chip repairs. Repairs damage not exceeding 1.5mm in diameter.

ALPHERA Care and Cosmetic Interior Cover Plan offer the following benefits up to a maximum of R3 000.00 (VAT incl.).

  • Centre console scratches, scuffs or rubber peeling repairs
  • Door handle scratches or scuffs repair
  • Door plastic kick panel & plastic panel door repairs
  • Hand brake boot, restore if torn or ripped
  • Centre armrest will be repaired
  • Head rest damage will be repaired
  • Front seat backboard and pocket repairs
  • Interior boot carpet repairs
  • Seat panel replace
  • Seat stitch
  • Steering wheel re-spray
  • Rubber carpet inserts
  • Gear knob repairs
  • Sun visor damage repair

ALPHERA Care and Cosmetic Inside Out Cover Plan covers all of the Exterior Cover Plan and Interior Cover Plan benefits listed above at a reduced premium.

Claims Procedure:

  1. Call the national number to register your claim on 0860 100 269.
  2. The claims department will request your policy number and all relevant information.
  3. The claims department will request a photograph of the damage.
  4. Send quotations and photograph to the claims department who will assess your claim.

  • Unlimited number of claims on regular tyres (limited to R45 000 per annum on Runflat tyres).

  • Resultant damage or loss to an insured component caused by the failure of an insured or non-insured component is covered
  • Cover can be transferred with the vehicle

You will also have access to the following Roadside Assist benefits:

  • Tow in: One tow in per claimable event
  • Overnight accommodation: In the event of a breakdown 200 km from your residence
  • Car rentals: If repairs are not completed within 48 hours this benefit is applicable
  • Keys locked in the vehicle: One call out a year benefit is limited to R350
  • Changing of flat tyre: This benefit is limited to 2 call-outs a year
  • Battery failure: This benefit is also limited to 2 call-outs a year
  • Emergency fuel delivery: Digicall Assist will arrange for 10 litres of fuel to be delivered to you. Cost of fuel will be for your account. Benefit is limited to 2 call-outs per year
  • Emergency assist: In the event of an accident, Digicall Assist will contact the traffic authorities and emergency services if required. Costs of emergency services are for your account
  • Map Direct: Helpline for directions or route guidance when travelling
